Production of precursor material
Since 2004, SYNPLANTS has been working intensively on the production of pre-basic material. This is particularly important in order to achieve a high level of health. By using its own pre-basic material, the risk of introducing quarantine diseases can be reduced.
SYNPLANTS has rented a greenhouse in Lullange at the "Foyer E'slecker Heem" for the production of pre-basic material. In cooperation with the employees of the Foyer E'slecker Heem, potato seedlings from a special laboratory for potato research in Libramont (Belgium), are planted here. The resulting mini tubers are then propagated by the cooperative for at least 3 years before being distributed to members for propagation.
